Project Life 2012: Week 1

Published January 15, 2012 by tracy

Welcome to my Week One of Project Life 2012!

Week 1 of my PL is photo less and I’m happy with it because lots of stories to share using words and some of it is handwritten. :)

Notice the Scrapbook divider I created? It looks like this

Scrapbook dividers by Becky Higgins

I received a token of appreciation from my OIC and got two recognition. I recopy my certificate but I blur it for privacy.

I know this might invite bugs but I love the idea of adding the crushed pepper flakes.

    • PL are design to make documenting easy. It’s suppose to make the task stress-free. This is my second year in doing this project and I learned not to over think and just go with what I have. There are days with lots of photos old and new. Sometimes none at all. But still this is your story tell it the way you want it.

I don’t have the kit and the materials other uses but that didn’t stop me from creating my own version of Project Life. I believe in the concept and it made me scrap and appreciate the things that I might miss if I didn’t do this. cheers my dear, you can do this! just take it one at a time. :)

  • Your pages are just humming with life and colour! I think this will be wonderful to look back on and all the bits of real life you store will be so interesting in years to come! I like the way you’ve just gone ahead and made your own too! Thank-you for visiting me and commenting – lovely to ‘meet’ you and I will be back!

    • Thank you Alexa, I feel that my pages represent how our week went and it’s really nice to look at it and remember those moments. I am loving this project. please be back here. I would love to see you around. :)

    • Hi Aggie!

Yes I am based here in Manila. Actually here in Makati. :) I would love to share where I bought all my scrapbook materials.

      Traditional Materials:

      1. Lasting Impression http://www.lastingimpressionph.com/ This is the mecca of scrapbook supplies. I shall warn you that once you visit Vivian’s store you’ll never want to go home. You just want to stay there with the supplies. LOL They have a facebook page where you can leave a message if you want to ask if they have a specific item. You can also send her an sms. The items in the online store are few and I assure you, you will be blown away once you see all the materials on her store. :)

      2. Fellow scrappers also sell their stuff on facebook. They usually advertise it on the group where we are a member.

      3. NBS- Although I find some of there stuff a little girly girly. I sometimes stumble good stuffs. I usually visit NBS (market! market!, Ayala, greenbelt, pioneer and trinoma)

      4. Saizen- If you love japanese items you might have stumble this store. all items are 85. Branches I visit (Trinoma, robinson galeria and market! market! branch) I recently bought decorative tapes and drawers to organize my scrapbook materials.

5.Guadalupe Commercial center- This center is near our place and most of the time I visit a small school supply store there. I bought a shadow box for 295! a good steal because when you bought it in a regular scrapbook store it will cause 1 thousand plus!

      6. Expressions- This is my number one favorite store when it comes to stickers! Most of my materials are bought here.

Most of my materials are mix of traditional materials and office supplies. I also used printables. http://www.oneprettything.com/ I visit here and also here for digiscrap freebies http://suzee-q-stuff.blogspot.com/

      For Page protectors,

12×12 and 8×8- Nbs and Landmark makati (all about scrapbooking area)

9×9 baseball card protectors- I order a box (100 pcs) at Neutral grounds (glorietta, megamall and greenhills) its a store for playing cards

A4 clear sheet protector (seagull) usually Nbs carry this line but trinoma branch don’t have this. I usually buy at glorietta and greenbelt branch.

A4 ring binder- Eagle brand (ring binder 102D325 A4 2″) bought at office warehouse landmark. I prefer this binder over the 12×12 for its size.

Yay! I hope I cover everything. If you still have additional question you can ask again and I will try my best to answer it. Have a good day. :)

  • Ang galing-galing! Hay. I can never do what you do. Give up na ako, iniisip ko pa lang. Hahaha! By the way, where did you buy your miniature fork? May spoon ba yan? I want/ need for my new craft – polymer clay na naman. Hehehe. TIA!

I also love to try polymer. Saan ba pwedeng bumili ng materials nun?
